How do we see our environment? How do we, as a person, as a society, shape realities? The group show Poetry of the Evident with works by Tatjana Doll, Curtis Tawlst Santiago, Ivana De Vivanco, Conrad Ruiz and Umar Rashid explores these questions. The artists are united by the desire to make the invisible visible and to reveal humanistic and social processes.
By looking, feeling, and transferring (everyday) experiences into their works, they reveal fundamental structures of our society, rework history, and self-determinedly redefine what their own narrative should be. They hold up a mirror to us, challenge us to look again, to penetrate one level deeper and to begin our own mythmaking.
