Antonia Freisburger lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany. She graduated from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2018 as a master student of Andreas Schulze.
Antonia Freisburger creates worlds that strive to capture the intangibility of our cosmos. Thus, we enter a fictitious reality, time- and placeless, which offers the artist the possibility to build up painterly fields of tension between colors, shapes and surfaces. Foreground and background seem to rhythmically alternate, to blur into each other and to be redefined upon renewed observation. One’s association wavers - always beyond human imagination - in seemingly infinite cosmological worlds, as well as subatomic levels, starting and ending point for all life.
