I explore the interconnectedness and relationship between humans and technology in
a hyperreality shaped by the internet. I conceive immersive experiences that confront
visitors with their own consciousness and impermanence through the interplay of
multiple senses including the deliberate use of wifi radiation as a treatment element,
sound frequencies, olfactory and visual stimuli. My aim is to awaken a feeling of
connection with technology without presupposing complex technical knowledge on the
part of the recipient. Through my own devicedepended existence caused by a terminal
physical illness I define as a cyborg, growing my practice by reflecting on
transhumanist theory and it‘s execution in a living reality. I understand my work as
perceiving and reflecting on a digital zeitgeist and its physical and emotional effects on
the individual beyond gender and bias. I exhibit internationally in galleries and
institutions including most recently NRW Forum Düsseldorf, Museum Marta Herford,
Benaki Museum Athens and Kunsthaus Graz. My works are found in several
collections such as the ING DiBa Art Collection, Artothek des Bundes Museum
Belvedere21, Museum für Moderne Kunst Salzburg and Kupferstichkabinett Vienna.
I am based in the cloud.
